This took so long to start, but, so did settling in! I'm finally relaxed and ready to take on this opportunity of a lifetime.
I named my blog after a comment my Nanny made about my love of travelling. I wasn't aware of what "itchy feet" meant and therefore, my blog was created.
Hopefully, throughout these next nine months I'll be able to tell you all about this amazing country and share pictures, thoughts and probably complaints too.. (not many I promise.. just about schoolwork I'm sure!)
I thought for my first blog I'd give you 10 random facts about where I live and about school! Enjoy!
1. Surfers Paradise is about a 1 hour drive South of Brisbane
2. Brisbane is pronounced "Brisbin".. yeah, who knew
3. Surfers Paradise is one of MANY suburbs of the Gold Coast
4. The building I live in is the first high rise building ever built in Surfers
5. I am a 2 minute walk from the beach.. this is walking slowly!
6. 1 cent coins do not exist in Australia and you can't rip their bills
7. Sunscreen does not come with SPF higher than 30.. no wonder everyone is tanned here!
8. My school (Griffith University) is a 15-20 minute bus ride and is located in a rainforest
9. Kiwi's taste like heaven here!
10. I've held a koala and fed a kangaroo: they're both fuzzy and gentle!
