It's almost September..

No really, can any of you believe I have been here for 8 months? Because I sure can't.. this is unreal!!!

While I'm taking a break from my studying (no honest, I've done so much studying, I'm just going to re-read everything and take notes tonight, no biggie!!!) I thought I would let everyone know my last few travel plans before I come home.. well, this is kind of home right now, so we'll say.. back to Canada.. in the snow.. UUUUGHHHH.. hahaha!!!

My mid-semester break is from the 27th of September to the 1st of October. Originally, I had wanted to travel to Bali, Indonesia, but, flights are pretty expensive. So, the girls and I are thinking of doing some travelling within Australia for the break. Maybe Adelaide or Melbourne. Because really, how bad would it be if I were to come home and say I lived in Australia for a year and somebody's like ".. oh! Did you go ______??" .. I just can't say no, can I? haha, so that's the plan.

The Melbourne Cup is the biggest Race Day in all of Australia and is held on the first weekend of November. I actually might go down for it with Alysha and do Adelaide over the break. It would be an absolute blast!

Mom is coming down mid-November I believe, right when I'm doing exams. Once I'm done, we're flying to Fiji for a week and then travelling New Zealand for 10 days. It's all very exciting.

I wish I had the opportunity to see the Outback of Australia. But, aside from scenery, I don't think I would be exposed to much culture. Well, obviously aboriginal culture, but, cities like Melbourne and Sydney have an array of culture that you must experience!!! I'm only human.. and a poor student, so I guess those are good excuses too!!

I'm also thinking about my next steps. Teaching in Asia, working for non-profit organizations in under developed countries, etc. I'm not ready for the 9-5 job, but, if an amazing opportunity came up, I would be ecstatic!!! I think in the future, I'd love to do something in the event-range.. even politics, running a campaign for a candidate, or just entertainment events, who knows. I've got a lot of knowledge and some great experience, so we'll see who wants me! haha

All in all, I'm sad to be leaving, but excited for my journey home and to start another chapter in my super-blessed life. not happy about coming home to the cold, but, just an excuse to buy a sweet pair of Australian-made Ugg boots! :) xo
