We had a great potluck dinner tonight at Alysha & Larry's building. We sat outside by the water and had turkey, ham, potatoes, macaroni salad, buns, cheesecake, veggies and more! It was delicious. I did get a little homesick before dinner. Had to complain to Alysha how I miss my family on days like today. She understood. She's so sweet. I'm going to keep her!!!
Now I'm just finished packing for my trip to Sydney. We're leaving tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. and driving down the coast! We found an awesome hostel called FUNk House Backpackers. Yes, the FUN is capitalised on purpose. It's very central and has great amenities. I hope I don't get car sick on the way down.. better pack the Gravol.
Anyway, I'm not sure if I'll have access to my blog over the next few days. I'll do my best to post an update!
OH before I forget, last night the 4 of us had a great time at a small pizzeria in Southport called the Artisan. It was a grand-reopening and Jess did a marketing project there. There was FREE pizza, drinks, appetizers, etc. Seriously. It's such a backdoor place that a tourist would never find. It was more like a house party. So fun. After a couple months of spending so much money, it was such a treat to have free stuff! We had a great time. Here are some pictures.
