This may be lengthy, I apologize in advance.. A lot of these details are for my reading-back of this too! I'm going to post the written parts now and add pictures later on. Sound good? Good.
Woke up early to be at Budget car rental for 8 a.m. Larry & Alysha met us downstairs and we walked the few blocks. We ended up with a 4-door silver Toyota. It was so cute. We also rented a GPS for our journey. I drove first. Let me tell you it's nerve wracking at first, but after 10 minutes, you're a pro.
Jess getting the GPS ready. Me getting my life ready.
Stupid GPS
Our car!
I drove 1.5 hours South to the gorgeous Byron Bay. There, we parked and did a 2 hour walk. The beaches are so beautiful and it's so lush with greenery there. We also got pictures at the most Eastern Point on the Australian Mainland!!! It was a perfect sunny day. We didn't swim because I think we were all too excited to get to Sydney. Fabulous place. I think I will take anyone who comes to visit down there because you just can't miss it. Gorgeous lighthouse, trees, everything. Here are some pictures from Byron Bay. My favourite is my jump pose!
From Byron Bay, Jess drove to Coffs Harbour. We had heard from a local Aussie boy in Surfers that Coffs Harbour is a must see. We stopped there and the sun was setting so we got beautiful photos again! We did a walk along the beach and collected some awesome shells. I'm glad we stopped there.. it's beautiful. I also wrote a message for my Mom in the sand. We stopped at a mall there to get some fruit and coffee to hold us over! Here are a couple pictures from Coffs Harbour!

From Coffs, Alysha drove to Taree. I have no idea what Taree is like. We stopped for gas (I pumped) and bought candy (I immediately regretted). I guess it's a cool place.. hahaha! Jess & I sat in the back. Oh boy. We were stupid. Singing opera and yelling out our windows. Too funny!!!
Taree to Sydney, Larry drove. The GPS took us in the stupidest routes. I hated that thing. We named it Lil' Kim because she's such a b*tch. Sorry, but it's true. If you were in the car with this GPS, you would agree. Anyway, you have to pay tolls to get in and out of Sydney. Dumb, but what can you do? I think Larry was flustered and tired because he was freaking out about where to go which freaked everyone else out. I was not a happy camper.
We arrived at our hostel, FUNkhouse, at 2-3 a.m. Tuesday morning. Our hostel is located in East Sydney in the Suburb of Kings Cross. On their website it says "located in the centre of the entertainment district" .. we found out on our bus tour the next day that our hostel was located in Sydney's Red Light district. We died. Seriously. Other than that, it was a great hostel. Our door had Wolverine painted on it. So cool.
We went straight to bed. I had top bunk. Sweet.
