Friday. Oh boy!
We woke up early and took the bus to Currumbin to visit the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. The same one I visited when I first arrived and where I got my picture taken with a koala bear! On the bus ride there we took pictures of weird people on and off the bus.. like, there was a guy dressed like Elvis standing at one of the bus stops near Miami beach. Hilarious!
We get there and it was way better the second time around. We watched the wild bird shows, got our pictures taken, talked with the dingo feeders, watched more shows. It was great. Robert got to feed kangaroos and hold snakes and everything. I think we both had a sweet time. We also took the train around the park.. and who doesn't like a free train ride?
When I asked Robert if he wanted a professional picture taken of him holding a koala bear, he looked around, grabbed a stuffed koala bear and told me to take a picture of him holding it. Such a cheeky kid!!! Hahaha! Before we left, we went across the street to Honeyworld (I'm not making this up) and tried all the free samples. Robert bought some Australian made hotsauce. Mmm, that place was so gooooood!
We got home just in time to get ready for Happy Hour at the Surf Club. We made chicken faijitas in a matter of 15 minutes. They were delish, but Vlad and Jimmy showed up while we were stuffing our faces and rushed us. Hahahah.
That day was the last day of exams, so everyone was at Surf Club. Another great opportunity to introduce my bro to my friends.
After Surf Club, Jared, Francis, Robyn, Robert and I went to the Beach Front market so I could buy Jared a cupcake that I had promised him months ago. Then we went up to Francis' to eat them and have a drink. Robert and Jared were hilarious and we all had a good laugh.
When we were home, and I was getting ready, Robert asked if he could go drink with the boys at Genesis. They were having a house party and I told him YES! I was so glad he went without me. Everyone here absolutely loves him. After I was ready, I went next door to my friend Megan's place with Alysha. We played Kings for a bit and then headed over to Genesis. Such a good house party. Robert was having a blast.
After we all got kicked out, we migrated to Melbas and Waxys.. only to go home a short while later. Good night in Surfers. xo
