Anyway, I know I only got to day 3 of Robert and My adventures.. I'm going to try and post more before I leave tomorrow. BUT, I must tell you about the fantastic night I had yesterday!
I worked until 6 p.m. and it was a great shift.. Maree (my boss) and her family came to empty out the place because it's getting renovated for the next 10 ten days. So we talked and drank coffee and ate sweets all shift. My tummy still hurts, but it was really nice.
Then Francis came to meet me at work and we took the bus to Burleigh Heads to meet Alysha, Larry, Kara and her friend Matt. Burleigh has always been raved about to me, but I've never really visited it. It's a 45 minute bus ride away. On Sunday nights, all the hippies who live there get together at a park in front of the beach and play bongo drums and fire twirl al night. I'm serious! It was so amazing. Also, all the spectators brought picnic stuff as well as booze. So relaxed, I loved it.
After we hung there for a few hours, we decided to go to the Fishermans Wharf. It's nickname is Fishos and we went there after the T.I.T.S. cruise at the beginning of the year. Sunday nights are their "special" nights and Francis' friend Steve was having his Going Home party there. There's a free shuttle there also if you call in time. So we went!
Nobody was there aside from the 15 of us. But, we all tore up the dance floor. I had a blast.
It wasn't a crazy night, but so nice to hang out with great people. I loved it. Now, I'm doing laundry and starting to pack for my trip tomorrow. My flight is at 4:30 p.m. out of Brisbane. Gah! This is going to be so fun!!!
