Shantz Siblings Down Under: Day Two

Road trip to Byron Bay!!!
.. only it was raining. Poop.

I actually was awaken to breakfast in bed from my dear little bro. Nothing like bagel and cream cheese in the morning! He told me it was raining and we had to decide what we wanted to do. First, we decided to get more brekky at the restaurant beside my place that has $2.99 brekky from 6:30 - 10:00 a.m. everyday. You get 2 eggs, 2 toast and lots of bacon. Delish!

Brekky was done, and the sun came out! We decided to go anyway to Byron. We would make the most of it if it rained. Robert really really wanted a picture with the sign in Byron that says "Most Easternly Point on the Australian Mainland".

Great drive to Byron, I drove there. Robert drove back!!! I think it's so easy. When I get home I know I'm going to mess up! Tight left, wide right.. Right, Robert? hahaha!

Byron was rainy. But, we did the 1.5-2 hour walk up to the famous lighthouse and the "sign". Such a beautiful walk. I absolutely love Byron Bay. The beaches were full of Surfers and the water was clear. It was chilly though, so I wore Roberts sweater. It was such an intense walk.. mostly uphill.. and for this girl who mostly parties and sleeps, it was a wake-up call to get my butt in gear!

We saw the sign, the lighthouse, the beaches, everything. I love it. We then walked back into town and ate at Hogs Breath Cafe. This place is supposed to have the best ribs ever. We just had burgers.. and they were so delish. Mmm, could totally go for one right about now.. ANYWAY, we ate there and just walked around for a bit. It was really nice.

Robert drove back and we returned the rental to Budget.

Now, time to party.

I bought Robert some Elevates (energy vodka drink.. also the bane of my existence) and we invited people over for cards. Larry, Alysha and Francis showed up early so we played some Kings. After a while, the boys from Metro came by (Vlad, Jimmy, Andrew, etc.) followed by Geoff and P.J. .. I was loving the fact that after I introduced everybody to Robert, he just meshed in. He was on the balcony with the boys doing his thing.. it was awesome!!!

We then headed to Waxys, which was dead, but made it way fun. Whew. Long day!!! Bedtime. xo
